    [Abstrak]

    This research entitled “The Effect Of Business Risk Toward Profitability On State Banks”.
    ROA is one measure of a bank’s profit. Profit for a bank is where all the bank wanted an advantage of the various activities that exist in Indonesian banks. The problem formulation applied are LDR, LAR, NPL, IRR, PDN, BOPO, FBIR, and PR, simultaneously or partial have significant toward ROA (Return On Asset) on State Banks. Data and data collecting method used in this research is secondary data source from quarterly financial statement from state banks. The data taken from published financial report of state banks begun from first quarter at 2007 until second quarter at 2011. Data analysis technique in this research uses multiple linier regression analysis, F-test and T-test. Samples in this research are all of state banks, they are Bank Rakyat
    Indonesia, Bank Mandiri, Bank Negara Indonesia, and Bank Tabungan Negara. Data processed from SPSS 11.5 input result, by using F-test to looking simultaneously influences as well as T-test to know partially on independent variable toward dependent variable that used in this research. Analysis result indicating that variable of LDR, LAR, NPL, IRR, PDN, BOPO, FBIR, and PR simultaneously have significant influence toward ROA on state banks. LAR and PR partially have influence positive significant toward ROA. PDN and FBIR partially have influence positive unsignificant toward ROA. NPL partially has influence negative significant toward ROA. LDR, IRR, and BOPO partially have influence negative unsignificant toward ROA. For biggest regression coefficient from all independent variable is BOPO with regression coefficient value around 22,37 percent.
